Client Sandisk
Location Swords, Co. Dublin
Size 1,100sq.m
Status Complete

Plus Architecture were engaged to provide the new EMEA HQ for SanDisk to supply flash memory products & accessories for Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. The new 12,000 sq ft offices are located in Airside Business Park, Swords.

We configured the accommodation around a new internal ‘street’ which would provide a very clear circulation arrangement but more importantly would create a sense of place and would encourage informal employee interaction. Cellular spaces were treated as incidents or ‘buildings’ along the street and subdivided the open plan areas into individually identifiable zones for different working groups within the organisation.

Working within the parameters of SanDisk’s corporate design guidelines, our intention was to create a crisp clean space – to this end we employed a relatively restrained palette of materials with isolated accents of colour and walnut. Working with the client’s in-house branding team, themed location specific wall art was included to provide additional points of interest along the new street.

We located the cafeteria within the triangular projecting bay overlooking the River Liffey, to exploit the wonderful views for the public heart of the scheme.
